Odd RPM dip issue

I have read some other threads and am looking for an opinion on my issue. 90 percent of the time my car is running and driving fine but on the odd occasion ill start the car and when go to take off from any stop the rpms dip heavily as soon as i press the pedal, sometimes even stalling out. The car idles fine during this but once im going there seems to be a slight difference in power through all gears and a rough transition between shifts due to the rpms dropping when i press the pedal. Ive done the fuel filter and dont see any vacuum leaks but i know that doesnt mean there arent any. Any other reasons that this would occur? Seems to disappear on its own after letting the car sit for an hour or two or sometimes starting the car up a few times.
