Another car I thought I would never sell but a life style change in the fall on 2014 has seen this get limited to no use. I would estimate fewer than 1,000 miles have been driven in the past 3 years. This was my daily driver for 6 years in SE Pennsylvania. I flew to Michigan to check it out and drove it home, IIRC I am the 6th owner. The car performed flawlessly for those 6 years, only issue was a bad alternator I had to have replaced at the dealer due to traveling during the holidays.

Except for alignments and tuning, I have performed all maintenance and upgrades myself. Most work can be seen in my build thread, I’m sure I am still missing routine updates and maintenance. Oil changes were only with BMW sourced oil at 7,500 miles when this was my daily. Current oil has less than 5,000 miles but has been in close to 3 years.

Cam bolts/Vanos has not been upgraded, it has been checked at every valve adjustment and no issues have been found. It was on my list of things to address for peace of mind, but never completed. Same can be said for the rod bearings. Factory service record shows they were changed per the recall at 34,076 miles.

I did tackle the rear subframe reinforcement and found no damage to any mounting points. I used a version of the Reddish kit and fabricated the rear shock/subframe brace that is currently installed on the car. PA state inspection is good till 7/17 and has passed emissions testing in the past. Last two years were exempt due to limited mileage.

After the sale of my ’87 SpecE30 I purchased an E46 5sp Touring and decided to convert the M3 to more of a track toy. That was in 2014 and the M3 has never made it to the track. I recently completed installation of an Alcon front brake kit, new Apex PS-7 wheels, Nitto NT05s, roll bar, Cobra seats, air bag delete, rear seat delete, sunroof delete and OMP steering wheel. Please refer to my build journal for more information on these upgrades. I will also include a RTD SSK long shifter and two front wheel bearings that were never installed.

I have a clear title in hand and looking for a cash only sale, not looking for any trades and not looking to part out. I do not have the factory seats or ‘street’ wheels and tires. I have a complete factory exhaust that can go with the car along with the factory sunroof cassette if interested. Factory front brake calipers and rotors are also included along with shim kit and related tools.

There are a few little issues that can be expected for a 15 year old car. I had it out the past few weekends and with no problem. No squeaks, grinding, belt noises or fluid leaks. Other than a harsh ride, I would feel comfortable driving this anywhere in the country. Paint is fantastic for a 15 year old car, windshield was replaced with an OE unit shortly after I purchased it and it still looks good. Sagging door seals were ‘modified’, replacements could be sourced but it was not a priority for me. Factory business radio works with dash and front speakers only. Factory heat, defrost and AC still work.

Seats are dated April 2008 and expired in 2013 unless they were re-certified which I believe is only good for another 2 years. Roll bar is bolted in but all bars are fully welded. Sunroof panel is a fiberglass unit, headliner is the stock sunroof version. Center console was recently replaced with the arm rest delete version.

Front passenger side bumper has some minor scuffing from the garage door many years ago, I tried to capture a pic below. There are two body digs, one behind the driver side rear wheel and a smaller one on the trunk. The trunk is ding is difficult to capture in an image. I have the winter rubber mats I will include with the sale along with a BNIB Rogue Engineering S54 Vanos Oil Line.
