This is a review of my purchase of E46M3COOLINGPACK Complete Cooling System Overhaul Package - 2001-2006 E46 M3 that I purchased from TURNER MOTORSPORTS 1 week ago.
My car is a 2002 e46 M3 with 104K miles. After reading through many good posts on M3 forums I decided to replace the cooling components on my car as a preventive maintenance option. My original parts had no issues.
After receiving the cooling overhaul kit I had a very reputable Indy BMW shop replace the components. The Indy shop has Certified BMW technicians.
After getting my car back I drove the car for 4 days, only to find out that the brand new radiator from TURNER MOTORSPORTS (OEM Modine) has a leak on the bottom left hand (where the metal meats the plastic).
I paid $650 to get the component replaced only to find out that the brand new radiator has a leak.
I have been purchasing items from TURNER MOTORSPORT for quite some time and for good reasons. I called TURNER MOTORSPORTS and spoke with Jason. He told me that they can send a replacement. I asked if I could be given some sort of credit towards the installation of the replacement radiator. He said this is not their problem and they don't cover labor.
My question is that their website states:
We have found that the E46 M3 can develop serious cooling issues ... By addressing these problem areas before a failure, you will save yourself a larger repair bill in the future.
Shop Confidently.
18 years of BMW Tuning.
Award winning service.
1,000's of parts in stock.
Quality BMW Parts only.
Hassle-free returns.
Based on these facts I NOW have larger repair bill.
I am not confident anymore shopping from TURNER MOTORSPORTS.:thumbdwn:
They do not carry QUAILITY BMW parts only.
I understand TURNER MOTORSPORTS is the middle man here. But there is a reason people go to them and not 'Joe' down the street to purchase BMW parts. I think they should take the responsibility of not providing quality parts and stand behind what they sell. This is specially for internal engine components where we have to pay increase labor.
I will take my business to ECS Tuning and I recommend the same to other fellow e46 forum members.
