shift knob moves sideways under heavy acceleration 1st gear

Hi everyone, I have a 2002 330i, just yesterday i noticed that my shifting felt off and in 1st and second gear when i floor it the shift knob starts to move around, however there is no noise... does anyone know what the problem is.
