tonight I decided to get into the gasket replacement between the engine and oil filter;:eek: for those of you who have done these it's a slow, get down there and take everything off that holds on to it and the engine.
Here's where I decided to take a break and switch to the transmission fill plug.:yikes: Haven't had a plug this tight - ever. :ben: 17mm 6sided socket, perfect fit. BUT I can feel the nut sliding! :censor: It's twisting the nice sharp corners. HERE's the question; WHY so darn tight???? :facepalm: this was serviced just 25k miles ago. What happens to make this so tight? Now I guess use a chisel and hammer and buy a new fill plug? Absolutely as__ine as how tight it is.:tsk: How tight should it be?
How much oil will run out, cold. ? How much to drain and fill with out changing the filter?:hmm:
