Hi guys, i was wondering what your thoughts are regarding registering a newly installed car battery. Is it really necessary? If so, what are the benefits and cons if you don't register a new battery.
I have a 2005 330ci vert in sydney and the dealership was asking $1000 for new battery installed and programmed. Wow. I went to my local battery specialist dealer and they installed a Varta higher capacity than stock battery for $400. The only downside is it was not "programmed" yet. Though I am in the process of ordering a wifi OBD adapter and purchasing a CARLY app for iphone so I can code and register the battery myself.
