If you have a drivers side oil leak up high, check this

It may not be the head gasket (rare from what I have researched), the valve cover gasket or the oil filter housing gasket. I replaced the oil filter housing gasket last year and I believe that it was either not the only leak or not the leak at all, but this loose bolt:

This drivers side timing chain guide retaining bolt was loose by at least 1/16" - I removed it by hand! You can look with a flashlight just to the left of the thermostat housing (as you face the engine bay from the front) to see if the bolt head/area is oil stained (if clean above, below the valve cover gasket, it is at least not the VCG leaking in this area). After removing the top of the thermostat and replacing the Al crush washer (and new thermostat o-rings), no oil leak.

I believe that this bolt vibrated loose, as the Al crush washer was tightly stuck to the head (used plastic pry tool to remove the not to scar the area/mounting surface).

Hope this helps someone.
