After parking on an incline, I headed home and had some oil smoke. Crawled around and found oil all over my trans and burnt on my headers.
I found signs of oil on the back of the valve cover and thought one seal looked a bit loose.
Every single bolt on the valve cover was loose. The seals got soft when they warmed up and allowed things to loosen up.
I used some aftermarket seals I had on hand. I will use BMW washer seals and maybe some threadlock going forward.
Sigh, it was getting pretty clean under there.
