Was driving home yesterday and had the dreaded shifter moving an inch or so past where its supposed to on the top 4 gears and can be pulled up / out a bit. Dropped it off at the dealership. Google search shows its the shifter bushing / bearing, correct? Any idea how much the average dealer charges? I found a DIY and it seems like you have to drop the drive shaft, etc. to do the shifter rebuild. Ugh... the rebuild kit has an MSRP for $89 for the BMW one. Wonder how much my dealership will try to charge me. Seems like a lot of labor though.
Dealership cost to replace shifter bushing / bearing?
