At some point my front bumper cover had been curbed a bit.
I ended up with scuffing on the front lower edge and the sides were sticking out past the fenders.
I finally pulled the cover to do oil cooler and ps cooler work. Now it's on my table ready for restore. I have a (probably aftermarket) mtech 2 bumper.
So far, I found the only 2-3 of the center plastic rivets were intact. There are 8. The curbing seems to have popped all of those. In addition, the side mounts pulled free of the bumper cover. These are attached via melted plastic points.
Anyhow, after testing a couple of different epoxies (DP430 and some plastic rated epoxy) I've found that what seems to be the best plan is to weld/melt it back together. I'll use UV (black) rated zip ties as filler to match the PP plastic.
Now I just have to go find my crappy soldering iron...
