hello all ... this is on a 2004 M54 / 5HP19 trans ... i get the 5088 and 5f2f codes, but only after I turn the vehicle on for the first time in the morning. I drive it 2 minutes and it goes into limp mode, sometimes it slams into or out of gear, like when you have a leaky torque converter seal ... I have to drive it for another mile or two, then turn the ignition off and on, and the vehicle runs perfectly for the rest of the day.... shifts absolutely perfectly.
I already changed the transmission fluid and filter, even bought a new pan and mechatronics sleeve... i refilled it in the correct temperature range with ZF fluid, but have noticed that twice now, when I check the fluid level, it's a little low... I'm wondering if this is just a fluid level issue or if the transmission has to be burped like the cooling system ... any advice is appreciated ...
