Facelift 330CI Light Problem

Hello all,

Here's the story. I polished and hosed down my headlights (factory xenon) and the driver's side stopped working. I started by trading out bulbs. Nothing. Then I swapped ignitors. Still wouldn't work. Then I tried installing a different balast. Nothing.

Being very confused, I tried plugging the driver's side headlight into the passenger side and it worked! So I checked grounding on the harness. As it turns out, the ground node was loose. So I tightened that down and the headlight began functioning again! I though that would be it, so I re-installed the headlight and checked things again. Won't work. So I removed it and plugged it into the passenger side once more. Works. So then I moved it back. Works. Then I started the car the next day. Won't work again. It seems that whenever I plug it into the passenger side, it temporarily starts working again, then goes out after a few minutes... Any idea what could be wrong? This all started immediately after the headlight got wet, so I thought it would be something in that area, but I'm at a loss. Is it possible the LCM isn't recognizing my ballast (I installed the original again)? Can I do a quick reset without recoding? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Daniel
