My 2005 M3 with Nav didn't have the factory DVD in it when I bought it. Radio works, but no Nav. What will I need to buy to get the Nav to work? Is it a matter of just buying the latest updated version(s) on DVD loading it and letting it update my navigation system or is there another step?
Also, I could use some guidance re: replacing the blotchy LCD screen on my M3's Nav unit. I've found several replacement screens for sale on ebay, but while looking for the screen I noticed just pretty nice Nav replacement units with "touch screen" cabability. Now I'm wondering if I should spend $150-$200 plus my labor to replace the screen or just ungrade to one of these newer "touch" units for around $500. Anybody out there faced this issue and which way did you go? Easy install, issues, compatibility, pro vs. con, etc.?
