Auto-Transmission

Hey e46fanatics!

This is my first post. To start off, I love my e46! It's given me nothing but joy!

Unfortunately, I went to go outside and warm my car up. After about a few mins, I put my car on drive and it seemed like my car was struggling to drive. When I put add a little gas, it would only go up to 3 rpm. I quickly stopped to try to avoid any damage. Then my car suddenly stalled. I tried to start it back up, but it wouldn't turn on unless I pressed on the gas peddle. Then I was able to turn the car back on and successfully put it in reverse. When I put it in reverse, it had no problem going back. After I turned off my car, I noticed there was a huge spill. I know it was the trans fluid since it was a little pink/red.

Idk what to do, does anyone know if my car might need a new transmission, gasket? This is my first BMW so I'm still learning about about the car! :cry:Also would it be worth fixing or should I just find another bimmer? I don't want to give up on this beautiful beast! So I just need some advice.

Some info on my car. 159k miles, maintenance is up to date, rarely driven hard. Minor oil leak(going to get that fixed)

Thank you
