Anyone use the 3m restoraton kit on the inner tail lights?

So I like many have used the 3M kit on my headlights with amazing results, well my inner tail lights (the ones on the trunk lid), like many others, are hazy and scratched looking, almost like they have stress fractures on them, but my outter tail lights look new. This apprently is "normal" because all the used ones on Ebay are the same way. Well i'm cheap and it doesn't bother me THAT much that i wanan buy new ones, but before i waste my time i was curious if anyone has done this with good results??
