oil buning smell

hi All



i own a 325i 2004 running 160k , i noticed white smoke after a while coming from ront left engine bay and oil burning smell as well .. long story short : i changed the OFHG , and VCG along with the 15 washers on all the bolts as well ,, its much better now , but still i get a light smell inside the cabin after running about 15 k ,, could it be from the old resedues ??
