A/C problem

Hey guys, I need some help. My 99 328i has been making a rattling noise but ONLY when the A/C is on and the rpms get to 3000 and above. The noise sounds like it's coming from the middle of the console near the center vents. If the A/C isn't on and I'm just venting outside air the noise doesn't happen, even above 3000 rpms. If It only happens when the AC is on then I wouldn't think it would be the console fan or bearings but I can't figure out what to do. Any ideas?
