Occupancy seat emulator installed, but light came back

I got my emulator for the occupancy seat sensor. Cleared the code with my PA soft software, but 2 days later the airbag light came back on. The code was for the occupancy sensor. Will the seat belt tensioner be bypassed with the emulator or just the sensor itself? The light comes on and goes off. sometimes it will stay off for a couple days.
