I'm getting a sinking feeling in my gut. I took my vanos off to rebuild the oil disc and replace the solenoid as recommended. The exhaust hubs were broken and sitting in the oil disc holes. (No symptoms of a vanos problem, btw). So I've taken off the exhaust hub and splined shaft. While I was waiting for parts I rotated the engine many times to do a valve adjustment. Was this a fatal mistake? Can I just put it back into TDC or do I need to retime everything? Is the vanos timed to the engine? I'm using the Beisan DIY for the vanos.
