So I'd say I'm about 1 year away from affording an E46 M3, but that's given the current avg. prices 100k mile Manual coupes. Which in my area at least is about 12k-18k.
I don't know though how much these cars may appreciate in the next year. A year in depreciation may not seem like much for a 15 year old car, but I mean look at the E36 M3s. This time last year I could find them everywhere for 5k-8k, but now it's hard to find one for less than 12k.
Just wondering what everyone else thinks may happen. Imo I think one of the key desires of the E46 is affordability (maintenance aside), so the market just might not be there yet, and may not be there for another 2 years or even 5 years. The manual coupes are probably going to appreciate a bit faster.
