When I close the tonneau cover and the motor starts to pull it down, it often starts clicking and fails to close it all the way. I took the cover off the motor assembly and can tell that the clicking is not coming from the center gear (that seems to cause problems for a lot of people) but from farther towards the motor. It seems like the motor is just not powerful enough to close it.
Before I order another motor, I want to be sure that the problem is a weak motor and not that more force is required than should be. If I remove the center gear and turn the the part that pulls the cables manually with the hex key, it takes a LOT of torque to get it to work.
Could somebody with a torque wrench try it and report how much torque it takes?
