I'm not needing to sell this car at all, however, I would like to free up some space in the garage for my other projects.
This is a:
2005 BMW M3 with SMG transmission.
Silvergrey Metallic
Imola Red interior
I am the third owner, I have all service documents going back from when the car was originally purchased. I have every single owners manual, two keys. I've had 3 previous M3's, two of which were E46, and this is the single-cleanest example I have personally seen, ever. Most have been abused, neglected or simply drive daily. When you see this car in person, you will understand. Its just that clean.
The car drives great, has new Michelin Pilot Sport tires as of 2000 miles ago (1/2017). I rarely drive the car, maybe 2-3 times a month. Its been garage kept all of its life. I've had some recent tune-up services done. I recently updated the SMG drive software (Tuning Tech FS) so it shifts smoother and faster. Some folks have their reservations about the SMG transmission, but if you know how to drive it correctly (let off the gas momentarily when you shift, just like a manual), its just as good/smooth as any manual model.
Car originally had the black Nappa leather interior, but the owner before me swapped it out for Imola red Nappa interior. To me and most others, the Silverstone exterior with Imola red interior is one of the most desirable color combinations of any E46 M3. In person its absolutely gorgeous. The car still smells new, never smoked or eaten in. Its basically spotless inside. The driver side left A pillar does need to have its cloth re-glued. Very easy, I just haven't got around to it yet.
I've added a OEM alcantara steering wheel with the tri-stich, still have the original leather steering wheel in good shape. The car has a Dinan muffler. I also added a CSL rear diffuser, I have the original rear diffuser as well. It has Turner Motorsports wheel spacers, 5mm/10mm if I do recall. The car will need two new front brake rotors in the next few thousand miles, the previous owner did a complete OEM Competition Package brake rotor swap; they are two piece rotors front and rear, larger than the standard and add more stopping power, plus they look great. The wheels are OEM Competition package wheels as well, not replicas. They have curb rash which is to be expected with a car this age.
Everything in the cabin works great. A/C was recently serviced. VANOS was replaced under warranty in 2013 at around 55K miles (in paperwork, serviced at BMW dealership). It has a BSW rear subwoofer that pumps out some great bass if you are into that sort of thing, all the other speakers are also BSW.
All in all, very clean example of a lower-mileage E46 M3. Definitely a needle-in-a-haystack and will be very hard to find one in TN in this condition. I get compliments every where I go!
Mileage will creep up very slightly as I do still like to take it out to the grocery store every now and then. I've never driven it in rain, nor did the previous owner.
I will not entertain low-ball offers or take anyone for joyrides. Serious inquiry's only.
