Up for sale is my factory ordered 2000 328i 5-speed (E46) for $2700. Located in central NJ, serious inquiries only please! kbsilver@optonline.net
Basic information:

• 215K miles ***8211; M52 engine runs perfectly ***8211; burns no oil
• Orient Blue with Grey leather interior
• No exterior rust
• Premium Package + Sport springs and sway bars (regular comfort seats)
• Drives and runs well
• Everything works ***8211; No CEL ***8211; No latent codes
• Includes many extras (Mounted Snows, Bentley Manual, Peake Code reader)
• Repairs last 2 years include replacement of steering rack and starter
• May 2000 build ***8211; factory ordered and owned by a single family
• Recent oil change, Akebono Euro Ceramic brakes
• Most maintenance records available

The car runs very well for its age, has a current inspection and should pass inspection without issue. While the car runs fine now, this is high mileage and will require some TLC and work to make the next 100K miles. A perfect vehicle for a DYI E46 enthusiast.

Following is a VERY complete list of all the known items the car could possibly need..

Cosmetic (all optional depending on buyer needs):

• While the paint is still glossy, the car does some have hail dents, and expected road rash normal on the front of a car with this mileage.
• The headliner fabric is sagging in the rear half of the car and coming off the C-pillars. This is a nearly no cost repair (all labor).
• There are no tears in the leather but the front driver***8217;s seat and arm rest needs to be recolored, and the rear seat back needs to be restitched on each side of the center panel.

Mechanical (requires about $1000 in parts to cover the following):

• While the car does not burn oil it does leak at valve cover gasket and oil filter housing
• All power steering hoses need to be replace due to leaking
• Spark Plugs (because it***8217;s easy when doing VC gasket)
• Water Pump, radiator hoses & coolant flush (nothing wrong now but it***8217;s time)
• Brake hoses (nothing wrong but it***8217;s probably time)
• Front struts need to be completely rebuilt, only item to be reused is the spring
• Windshield cover and Left Bulkhead plastic trim panels need to be replaced

Other detected items:

• The on-board computer (OBC) display selector only works occasionally. This is well documented and is caused by a broken wire in the directional signal stalk. This can be repaired at no cost.
• Although is usually fine, once in a while there is a ABS warning. Based on the combination of lights appears to be a front wheel speed sensor. This may only require cleaning the sensor or the electrical plug.

Finally the clutch is the factory original. While it currently operates fine and may last another 100K miles, it probably won***8217;t (also dependent on how the car is driven). When it needs a clutch I would recommend doing the flex disc (guibo) and replacing all the shifter bushings at the same time (or short shift kit).
