Hey folks
Hoping someone can chime in about a persistent issue I am having which is driving me bonkers.
Car is an 04 E46 M. About three years ago I did a cooling system overhaul, all new, genuine/OEM parts. All fine but has run too cool ever since.
Car runs fine but is running too cool constantly, won't get more than 72C even during a ragged run. Currently a mild winter here in Oz, day temps are 16C or thereabouts.
Am onto my third thermostat now, but no change in temps. Fuel economy is noticeably down and I'm worried about excess fuel washing into oil.
Has anybody had any similar issues, having disqualified the thermostat as the culprit?
I have disconnected aux fan, no change, so that eliminates lower house temp sensor. No error codes reported. Could it be the sensor under the inlet manifold?
Help! Thanks in advance.

Help! Low running temps, it's not the thermostat
