SMG- car shifts to neutral while driving

Can some please help figure out this problem. I just bought the car 2 days ago with 125,000 miles on it. Dealer said the car is in perfect running condition. So, I did not buy any warranty knowing that the car is in good shape. Service engine light goes off and gearbox light goes on too. Then it jumped to neutral while driving. Very scary...pulled over to the side of the road them turned the car off the tried to start it. Car started but won't go into gear. Decided to wiggle the salmon relay and car started and went on gear. Do you think it's the salmon relay or I have a bad SMG pump?
