Should I consider selling my new Legacy for an older E46 M3

It might be a stupid question. It might be an impulsive decision. I purchased a new Subaru Legacy. Its reliable but its not "fun". The reason I really got that car is because its a new car at a decent price and my dad agreed to cosign for it. So the car is mine, I'm about to get my own insurance and at this time I think getting a 6 speed decent E46 M3 makes me happy at this time.

SMG problem

I have a 2005 E46 M3 SMGII.

I've only just rolled over 30,000 kilometers - 18600 miles - (it doesn't go outside in the cold and snowy Canadian winters, just stays under it's blanket and sleeps!) and I'm having a bit of a problem with the transmission.

No trouble starting, but when I select either 1st or Reverse the indicator in the dash flashes continuously. I have drive sometimes, other times it doesn't have any.

Does anyone have any idea what this might be caused by?

Opinions Wanted - Interior Two-Tone

Hey guys,



I came across these two tone seat covers on BavAuto while browsing one day. I have no intention of buying them, but I am gradually two toning my interior to a combination of tan and black, and was wondering what everyone thinks about possibly dying the edges of my tan seats to look like this picture? I have read some dye project threads, and haven't seen this. Before someone says just go all black, I have already considered this and decided not to. The alternative is replacing them with OEM black seats from a junkyard or another member selling theirs. I am in no way committing to this, but maybe this is a cheaper way to refresh my seats...? If it comes out bad, I can save the dye for the future or resell it and just buy the replacement seats. Just wanted to get some other opinions, as I am considering it myself. Also consider that my entire center console is currently black, and I already have black floor mats. I am planning on combining my door panels to have a black frame with a tan center as well. Any and all input is welcome. Thanks in advance!

Hello fellow fanatics!

I came across an unpainted m3 Replica (sedan fitment) front bumper and decided that it is just a but aggressive for my taste. I thought that with all of you ZHP owners out there considering said aggressive look, there may be one of yous willing to trade. Im aware that the paint and install is costly so im willing to put up mu standard (02-05 facelift) front bumper as well as the m3 bumper together for your mtech 2. I would prefer an "orientblau" front bumper but i am willing to take other offers as well. I will post pics later tonight

High Pitch Ringing Noise

I have a 2001 330ci that I just recently purchased and am having the weirdest issue. It only happens when im going between 80-85 MPH and giving the throttle about 15%-20% power, but when I do a high pitch ringing noise comes from the back of the car. I cant hear it with any music on but and it only comes on during those certain conditions but has anyone experienced anything similar or have any advice for me?

No start

Hi this is my first BMW so I'm new to this. I have a no start on my 99 328i. Wasn't getting spark. I moved the orange wire that grounds onto the valve cover and it started. Then it shut off again a little bit later and won't start back up. Any ideas?

I don't know much about it but I see a lot of comments about "plasti dip" paint. Assuming that is a rattle can paint.



Like most others the fabric on my pillars is coming off and wondering if anyone has just taken it off and painted it with somethis with some texture?

I am looking for someone that has the code reader/programmer to make a few minor changes to my 2001 330i sedan:



- lights to flash when I lock the car

- turn signal flash 3 times??? (not sure if this is option)

- turn off the A/C coming on everytime I start

- etc

Eliminating the yellow day lights on headlights

Needed info, (and yes I have googled countless searches) and I cant seem to find a topic of removing or replacing the yellow day lights with a white or blue light. I apologize ahead if this is a stupid thread. But I do search for answers before I post a thread. So I am looking to replace the yellow lights that go on when we don't use our headlights. Which is noticeably during the day. Any recommendations or bulbs? thanks again. HAPPY MOTORING!
