Hey e46fanatics,
So I have a problem with my e46 when I turn it on after a few hours of sitting the idle is very rough (sounds liked a cammed car), I usually let it warm up for a few minutes and everything works fine. I did forget this morning and "drove" it right after turning it on. The car has zero nada nil acceleration and it runs as if it is missing firing, ever so often there was an intake manifold backfire and jerked as if it were cutting off. But after few minutes of warming up, everything run fine.
Side note (idk if relevant): I got the car with the problem so idk if it runs normally, it's hard if accelerates as it should. With ~150hp it kinda hard to tell if it pulling correctly or if it just maxed out on the hp.
I hooked up the obd2 and the dreaded p1188 and p1189 popped up.
Here's what I have done as per other users recommendations:
-Installed new VANOS seals
-Installed new MAF
-Replaced all the 3.5 mil vacuum tubes
-Replaced both intake pipes leading from air filter
-Replaced ICV
-Replaced CCV and hoses
-Cleaned DISA valve
-Changed sparks to oem
-Changed cover valve gasket
-Smoke test was done a few minutes ago and everything seemed to be sealed up fine
so I'm kinda running out of car to fix but what would you recommend next??
