Anybody know the depth of the HK 6x9s?
I'm still chasing the poor sound quality I have with my Bavsound set-up. Everybody says it should sound great, but so far, everything I try comes up short. I'm wondering if my 6x9s are NFG, although they looked great when I did the coilover install.
Grasping at straws right now and don't know what way to turn. I can't even return to stock without spending a lot of money because the Bavsound kit involves modifying the stock components.
I heard from the tech guy at Bavsound after I left work last night and I'll continue that conversation, but not sure when because work is unpredictable today.
Quite frankly it's getting very frustrating when everybody tells me how good this should sound, but mid and bass are crap right now and weren't before. It's like someone turned the mid and bass volume WAY down. I can dick around with controls and raise the volume to get some bass back, but it's not very good and not musical at all and buzzes in the really loud stuff. I don't think it's the woofers because it didn't do this before. Just feel like whatever I do now is going to cost me a lot of money. Hopefully Bavsound can find the solution without me having to spend more money.
Anyway, I do want to at least look at my options for 6x9s. I may try this before going back to stock.
