Help! No start No spark No RPM's

So being very courageous i took a gamble on a 1999 bmw 323i for 300$ at a local junk yard it needed Seats and a Crank position sensor is what the owner of the scrapyard told me, Being a 5 speed manual i couldn't resist the pricing and bought it

So i bought a set of seats and ordered the sensor from autozone the old sensor reads about 940 ohms which i hear makes the sensor bad. i've followed all the no start forums that exist and i can confirm my DME is getting power and is atleast somewhat working

After putting the new sensor into the car i jumped in and turned the key expecting to hear it fire up to life but still nothing my Code reader wont pull any codes off the car as if the car isn't throwing any

The coils are getting a 12v from the battery but the signal wire seems dead when cranking
Fuel is good rail has enough pressure to fire and i can smell gas after cranking + hear the fuel pump turn on when i turn the key

i've read on the forums that i should be seeing the RPM gauge move while cranking and it just sits still doesn't even wiggle and i continuously get no spark
I've checked all the fuses to the DME and replaced the relays aswell

Can someone please help point me in the right direction?
i checked my camshaft intake sensor wire (harness side) and the main + is getting 12v and the signal getting 0.5v from which i understand is how it should be, can i run the same test on my crank position sensor to tell if its getting juice?
