04 e46 330Cic starts randomly having a slow start some cold mornings but not a full struggle to start situation. Goes in for cooling overhaul and battery gets tested and is at recommended cca. Two weeks later the car sits for 4 days and I come back to a stone cold dead battery where not even the key fob works. Jump start the car and the car starts. Next morning car starts fine. Same deal next morning before I take it in to the shop.
Parasitic draw test comes back at 20 milliamps. Battery now testing at implausible numbers soooo new battery goes in because clearly something is off.
Less than a week later, mornings are getting slow start again and I suspect I am going to come back to another stone dead battery after leaving the car for 4 more days this weekend.
As long as the car gets driven, there are no battery issues. I don't leave anything plugged into the 12v or the ipod hooked up. No NAV or DVD (plus that would show on the parasitic draw anyway). Wire from battery to starter? Alternator diode? Anyone care to throw suggestions?
