330i touring non sport suspension refresh

Hi,

I have my 2003 330i touring exclusive edition (from germany) since december 2016. It's very clean except the handling was bad... (139000 km when I got it).
I didn't realize it at first, but after a few weeks I swapped the cheap winter tyres to conti sport contact 3 and the handling improved drastically.

I still had shaking in the steering wheel when braking, so I take it to the tech last week whom changed the front bushings, and we plan to change the struts only as he said they were shot.

He told me I didn't need to change the rear shocks or bushings and to put sachs on the front, and then to do an alignment.

I'm a bit reluctant to put sachs struts as they have a bad reputation from being too soft, and unreliable.

So I plan to change the all 4 shocks / struts for Bilstein b4 as I don't have sport suspension, and I'd like to have a little bit firmier car; and to change the rear bushings too.

What do you think ?
Should I go the cheap way (front struts only, and sachs) or full Bilstein b4 set + rear bushings ??

It's quite annoying to have such a nice car with poor handling...

Thanks !
Jean
