Hi there,
I found out that 330d and several 330i (not all of the, though), have a bigger differential, sporting bigger output shafts (94mm 8 screws connection instead of 86mm 6 screws), and also a different carrier.
I have a E46 Compact, which has a specific rear axle carrier, but using normal differential similar to 325 or lower E46.
So my question is : is there anyway i could fit a big differential (ideally the one used on 330d, as the ratio is what i'm aiming for) on this Compact ?
Also, i have a 325ti which is rated for about 230hp and 250Nm, and i'm going to upgrade to roughly 400hp and 450Nm. Will my relatively small output shafts be enough for that ? Not planning on any track or anything like this, but i wouldn't be happy if i end up breaking this while on a roadtrip.
Thanks
