Story...
A few weeks back my car had a Service Engine Soon light (code P0174.) Checked all vacuum hoses and they "looked" good. Took off the DISA and it looked nasty--working, but gasket was gone. Others in the forum highly recommended also replacing the CCV. Ordered a new DISA. Before I had the chance to replace it with new, Service Engine Soon turned off. Oh well. Installed the new DISA, everything good.
Last week, Service Engine Soon light came back on. Codes P0171, P0174, P1083, P1085. I decided to finally order the CCV. Still waiting for it to arrive.
Yesterday, pumped gas. Turned car on. Service Engine Soon light off. Checked today; no codes. What the...??
Was it a coincidence that the Service Engine Soon light turned off after pumping gas and it was about to turn off anyhow; or is the fuel cap a likely culprit?
