Hi guys,
Recently i finished installing my AA supercharger kit. I took my car to test drive it, and No boost was built up until i reached 5500 RPM, so apparently i most have a big boost leak. I decided to start a boost leak test and found the two spots where the air was leaking, one of them is the ORing that connects the DISA valve to the Intake Manifold. these one can be solved by looking just for a new oring in the market, Since my DISA valve still works fine.
The other place where I found a boost leak was on my AA recirculating valve, so i decided to give it a try by just putting enough pressure to the valve with a the use of an air compressor. the first thing I noticed is that you could hear the air coming out of the valve at 4 psi, i tightened the valve and max i could reach was 5 psi before i could hear air coming out:facepalm:. I continued my test, but then i realized that the valve leaked much earlier.
The valve leaks at 1 psi. :ben:, looks like the gate is not closing well or something.

So Active Autowerke states that my system works at 8 psi (330 e46 AA Stage 1). In that case I could state that my valve should hold up air up to 10 psi (correct me if im wrong) at least.
I bought the kit used here in the forum. so no warranty. I will like to know whats your advice guys. should i get a new valve from AA or should I get an aftermarket one, considering it should have the dimensions, in order to fit the rest of the kit.
regards,
