330Ci alarm system

Hey guys I have 2 questions for you. I have an 04 330Ci that currently doesn't have an alarm system but it is pre-wired for one. So 1 does that mean when I put one in I can program my key to it? If so 2 which systems can be programmed to the key besides the BMW factory one?
