So apparently I registered here at some point in the distant past, but never posted anything. I must have needed help working on something....
Anyways, I just sold my Jetta back to VW and was in need of another car. I found out that one of these was going to be available, so one thing lead to another and I'm now the "new" owner of a 2003 325xiT.

Full disclosure: the previous owner was my dad. He ordered it new and decided it was time for something else. So he upgraded, and I wasnt about to let this thing go. I've done a fair bit of work on it over its life as it is, so I knew what I was getting into. Its also spent its whole life garage kept.
Considering its 15 years old, its in pretty good shape. 115K, I have a pretty comprehensive service history of the car, the belt, t-stat, a lot of drivetrain seals, SAI pump, and fuel pump have all recently been replaced. The suspension has been sorted fairly decently as well but I'm sure it'll need a few more things.
Primary concern at the moment is that it appears to still have its original water pump. I'm going to do that pre-emptively as I sense its on borrowed time. It has some other dumb things with trim pieces and other follies of old german plastic, but overall not bad. I just replaced the VGC and headlight lenses.
Important features:

Other than that, its a very basic car... it may even be a 0 option Xdrive car.
My goal at the moment is sort out whatever in the mechanicals need to be taken care of and drive it for a bit, then figure out what I cant tolerate and just do some basic upgrading. This is my 2nd BMW, I guess I'm going backwards. My other one is a 2011 e93 335i. I already have some appreciation for the relative simplicity of this thing.
