I was wondering if I could get some questions answered about some mods I'm preparing to do. My car is a 05 325XI (MS43). Currently, I'm looking at buying Ebay headers and an M54B30 Intake Manifold from two part outs near me.
The Intake Manifold($80 CAD) is coming with:
Throttle Body
Fuel Rail
Injectors
Originally I was just going to just buy or get someone to fabricate an adapter plate so my B25 TB would fit the B30 Manifold and use the B25 fuel rail/injectors, but the seller of the Manifold said the above was included.
The questions that came up from doing research on people doing the Manifold Swap, and from the requirement of either using O2 extenders or doing EU2 for the headers were:
1. Is a B30 DISA necessary or can I use by B25 one?
2. Do I need to buy the GAS DISA repair/upgrade kit?
3. Assuming I use the B30 TB/Fuel Rail/Injectors/DISA(if needed) and source a MAF off of a 330xi (Since some are 3pin), would I be better off to flash EU2 for a B30 or B25?
4. Car has an AFE Stage-1 CAI for 2.5/2.8L engines, this would need modification for the B30 MAF, correct?
Yes i'm aware a Dyno tune would be much better, but that would have to wait awhile.
