OK, sounds strange that I go to my BMW forum for Honda advice, but it is what it is, and I trust no other source of information.
Friend has a 2007 Honda CR-V. AC not blowing cold. Needs diagnosis to determine what is wrong obviously, but from reading the sparce DIY's it appears that the clutch often fails, and can be rebuilt on the compressor, but due to the moronic way in which Honda's are put together (with assumptions nothing will ever break, therefore never need to be replaced), this is a minimum 8 hour job.
Compressor is expensive, unless you get a rebuilt or aftermarket one on ebay. Clutch rebuild kits can be had for not too much, but he would need to determine first if it's the compressor or clutch.
So basically:
If the clutch does not engage, is it safe to assume that the clutch is the only problem here, or could it be both the clutch and compressor?
If the clutch DOES engage, then maybe the compressor is bad, or the system has no more Freon/R134?
Thanks - S2K for Lyfe.
