Hi everyone,
I have done my research in terms of my problem but nonetheless found inconsistencies so essentially I want to ask what to do next?
The Story:
I have a project-ish e46 sitting in the garage that I am turning into my summer daily. The car has o2 sims (which I'm still trying to confirm the voltages based on the codes listed below) and CAI.
The Problem:
Starting the car after longer period of inactivity (i.e. a day or so) is followed by very very very rough idle, rpm fluctuations to the point of nearly stalling, and sometimes even knocking coming from the intake manifold. However, after warm up, rpm jump to 1k then back down to normal and the car drives pretty normally.
The codes from PA Soft:
E3/B1 - Ox.-s.control deviation, bank 1, too large
E4/B1 - Ox.-s.control deviation, bank 2, too large
D8/B4 - Signal, ox.sensor after cat.conv., bank 2, no signal
CA/B1 - Ox.-sensor control, bank 1, control limit
CB/B1 - Ox.-sensor control, bank 2, control limit
D7/B4 - Signal, ox.sensor after cat.conv., bank 1, no signal
98/B4 - Signal, ox.sensor before cat.conv., bank 1, no signal
F0/B6 - Misfire, cylinder 3
EE/B2 - Misfire, cylinder 1
EF/B2 - Misfire, cylinder 2
What I have done so far:
- Main vacum and intake lines checked (the smaller lines not as thoroughly waiting on a smoke test but could a small vacuum leak cause something as serious as knocking?)
-Vanos Seals replaced
-CCV system replaced
-Fuel Filter replaced
-DISA Cleaned
-MAF Replaced
-Air-cone replaced
So the question is what to do next, the thing that throwing me off the most is that the car runs fine after warming up a bit. I'm doubting the o2 sensors would have such a huge effect, but I could be wrong. An ICV clean is next on my list, is there anything else that I should check, replace, clean, etc?
I appreciate the help in advance
