Dad and I decided to take our cars and go on a mini road trip. 1200-1500 miles there abouts. We usually take motorcycles, but thought, what the heck, lets go on a car run. This is also a test, can a 27 year old Ferrari 348 and a 15 year old 325 with over 200k on it be fun and reliable on a road trip....
So far, yes. We left Boise and went through Idaho Falls, Jackson, WY, Flaming Gorge recreation area, and we are now in Vernal, UT. Dad got a performance award south of Jackson for 79 in a 70. Glad the cop did not see us 10 miles earlier....:excited:
The Xi with the Rob43 suspension is fantastic. Absolutely flat in the corners. The new clutch (Valeo SMF) is perfect, and we are having a ball. Of course, dad lets me think I am doing great in the 325 then shows me really quickly what a real sports car can do... (The sound that Ferrari V8 puts out through it's Tubi exhaust at full song is amazing)
I am averaging 26-27 mpg and he is getting 22-25. Not bad, really.
I will upload some photos when I get home Sunday. They are all on my DSLR and I forgot my card reader.
