In 5 years with my E46 I've had to buy... 6 window regulators, three coolant tanks, two coolant sensors, three coolant hoses, ignition coils, countless other sensors and bushings, oil filler cap, CVV, every oil gasket... basically if it's made of plastic or rubber it can, will, and does break.
On my Toyota Camry V6 I've owned for 11 years I've had to buy ONE repair part. ONE! Of course I had to drop the tank to install the damm thing, but still.
Which leads back to my original question, are other German brands any better at not crumbling away under the force of gravity? The E46 is getting a bit old and I know my wife will want something similar (BMW, Benz, Porsche, Audi are the likely candidates).
