O2 sensors and Spec exhaust

Are builders using the stock post-cat O2 sensors with the longer leads in the Spec exhaust headers? Seems like that would get the connectors up and away from the heat. I would think that the pre-cat and post-cat sensors are identical other than the length of the wire leads?
