2000 323i 112k Just put in PS tank, return hose and feed hose to cooler from tank (both hoses small and large). Only drained the system from the large hose on the pump (not the high pressure hose). It drain for about 1 day. Installed new tank and hoses. Filled tank to bottom of first line on dip stick. Started car no power steering, no movement in tank, and fluid level did not drop. And yes the power steering pump is turning. I only replaced the parts because the hoses were leaking at the tank and on the pump. I tried tightening the hose clamps first but they still leaked so I replaced. Now no pumping? Could there be a air bubble in the system? I checked the tank to large hose outlet buy putting a piece of wire down it. So there's no blockage on the large hole. Didn't check the small outlet yet to the cooler. There is noisy coming from the PS Pump. Maybe the pump just crashed. I thought about loosening the high pressure hose and see it any fluid comes out.
Any thoughts.
Also trying to keep costs down. Anybody no of a good lower cost PS pump that works?
Thanks
