n42 rough idle

hi all , i guess by reading the forums it was just a matter of time til my 318ci started running rough .when i turn on ignition my check engine light and eml come on then go out when i start the car ,then idle has started dropping to 5-600 rpm when i come to a junction and check engine light starts flashing .on reading forums i took off inlet manifold and checked ccv and breather pipes .the ccv and bottom breather pipe where full of brown liquid , any advice greatly appreciated.
