Help on my 2000 323i bmw please!!!

Hello everyone! I was wondering if I could get some help on my 2000 323i bmw? The problem is that yesterday I was going to take my car to a mechanic so he can replace my center driveshaft support, but as I wanted to turn on the car it didn't start. I talk to someone and they told me that I needed to jump start the car, and I did but that was not the problem since I had recently replaced the battery and the alternator. The check engine light was on, and I input the code reader and it read that it had P0441 code on. It seemed as if the fuel pump was not pumping any gas because I was trying to turn on the car and it want to start but it didn't. Is it the fuel pump that is not working and how can i check if it is, or is it another problem? Any ideas? I would really appreciate the help.
