Potential E46 M3 purchaser

Right now I'm in the middle of looking at a 2003 M3 coupe with about 73,000 miles. The dealer which specializes in european cars (mostly BMW and Audi) wants $19000 for it, the only problem I have seen on the car is a slightly beat up interior. I understand that M3's have problems with the rear subframe, the VANOS unit nut backing out (which apparently very few owners have fixed), and the fuel pump losing performance as it gets older.



It will be mostly used for commuting. Are those issues absolute deal breakers?
