I've noticed that since buying my car with 136k 3 months ago, and putting around 5k on it since then, that I burn a liter of oil about every 1200 miles. Compared to all the other BMWs I've owned (m20s, m30s, m50s) this seems excessive. I can't find any oil leaks on the engine or under that car, and there's no blue smoke on startup, under acceleration, deceleration, or at any other time.
Could an faulty/clogged/broken CCV system cause an increase in oil consumption? And if so, is there any way to verify this?
