Flywheel Dowel Pin came loose inside gearbox.

Hopefully this thread draws some light to somewhat rare but catastrophic failure with our cars, given the little exposure this failure has on the forums.

The failure occurs with a dowel (locating) pin on the flywheel coming loose and doing damage to transmission bell housing and pressure plate, while making a violent aluminum can tearing/scrapping noise most under hard braking or high RPM. Occurs sporadically and is sometimes difficult to reproduce on command.

I read a lot of reviews about flickering in some brands . Any one tried nice brands which fit e46 perfectly.
Are KENSUN 20$ or DMEX 27$ are good if anyone tried them.

325xi not idling when cold.

Hello all,

Recently I purchased a 2003 325xi with over 200,000 miles, and the previous owner said the car won't idle.
I bought the car, thinking it might as well be a MAF sensor or the IAC valve needing some cleaning. Turns out, the DISA valve was also broken right off the shaft, so I replaced that as well. The IAC valve is clean now, haven't got around to the MAF sensor. I went to go start it, same condition. Won't idle when cold,, but will idle when its warm, just extremely rough (sounds...

So I just bought a 330Ci last week, with little to no history. I was told that the front pads were recently replaced, and that the rears were still ok. It has rained a lot these last few days, and I haven't used the car much, and I noticed that the rear discs had a few (expected) rust spots. i have a 2009 335i e92 with a cic idrive head unit. Is there anyway i can connect a rear view camera? If anyone knows a link to any type of plug n play retrofit on amazon or ebay that would be much appreciated.

What are these exposed wires right next to the valves?

Some wires feeding into something to the right of the valves on a 2003 330i, the tubing around the wire is very brittle and needs replaced.
I’m just wondering if anyone has a clue as to what these wires are for.
