I’ll start by saying I’m a newbie to the BMW realm, (I Hope realm wasn’t too dark lol) and I purchased a 03’ 325i M54 engine about half a year ago. After an oil change and minor vehicle maintenance hence my inexperience with German cars. Story short, the gasket blew and it smoked like a train. Rear drive shaft (output shaft) CV joint

I have a 2002 330i Touring auto (VIN PC63276).

The metal cap that covers the outer CV joint on the end of one of the drive shafts (output shaft for those in the US - what you guys call a drive shaft, we here in the UK call a prop shaft) has rusted so thin that it has developed a hole and grease has started to weep out I have been told I can just replace that CV joint instead of the whole shaft. I recently heard this noise for a month and I can't stop not hearing it now. Is it the transmission going out. My car has only 90000k miles. I have the 5 speed auto

Modified trunk net>privacy screen

Today I modified my rear truck net into a privacy screen using a $5 sheer curtain found at walmart. Took about an hour of fitment and sewing, but after I trimmed it up,it looks almost factory. Quite happy as the result is I can still see cars and light through it, but looking in is fairly obstructed. Could add a second layer of curtain to cut out more visiblity, but I'm happy with one.
