E46 headlight and taillight issues .

Ok I have a problem . my e46 is throwing the headlight out code even tho the headlights work fine . I have an hid kit in with the error code resistor connected and this recently just started happening . don't forget all headlights work fine . same thing with the taillights . I swapped out my ambers for smoked led taillights and they worked fine for months until tonight while I'm driving home and the codes saying my taillight is out came on . this is for both my taillights. Remember they still work and function fine. I hate having lights on my dash can anyone help figure out wats going on ????
